In this constantly changing market, organizations need strong leadership, bold vision and innovative ideas. For the past 21 years, I have worked at all levels of organized real estate to craft the strategic vision and policies that have moved organizations forward. By understanding the challenges and opportunities in both good and difficult times, I have successfully brought people together to create services and programs they need to prosper in every market place. Please support me as the California Association of REALTORS® Treasurer for 2010 so that I can help produce the same results for the members of the California Association of REALTORS®.

Being California Association of REALTORS® Treasurer involves more than just overseeing a $28 million budget. Equally important is the Treasurer's responsibility to help the organization define the critical issues that will impact its members. I know that the Treasurer's role is to listen and work with the members, leadership and staff. I also know that the role is to identify the trends, challenges and opportunities that help the organization to be visionary. I also know how to create strategic objectives that move organizations forward because I have been doing this successfully for over 21 years as an agent, managing broker, a local association leader and as the 2008 Vice Chair of CAR's Strategic Planning Committee.

The California Association of REALTORS® has a strong history of sound, financial planning that advances the association's vision to "be the pre-eminent source of essential business services and the association of choice for real estate professionals committed to excellence". The strategic objectives developed by the Strategic Planning Committee enable CAR to develop products, programs and services that enable members to achieve success in their individual real estate businesses. As Treasurer, I will work with the Leadership Team to give members what they need to remain relevant to the consumer and successful in the new market place.

For 21 years, my focus has been to provide the resources our members need to remain a strong real estate community. As the CAR Treasurer, I will bring this experience in budgeting and planning to help CAR continue to do the same. All of our members count on our tradition of being a forward-thinking, proactive and effective organization and that must be preserved. Our members deserve it.
